- Marked shifts in rankings under the Real Estate category.
- LinkedIn sees its foray into the Social Networking category.
- Bing loses some of its early shine since its June launch.
- Under the Airline category, Emirates is the only international airline to make it to the Top 5 websites.
- Month-on-month increase in visits observed for Banking & Job Search categories.

Major shifts in rankings for July’s Top 5 are seen in the Real Estate category. Indiaproperty ousts 99acres as the leading real estate web portal, with an increase of 8% in unique users since June. 99acres and Magicbricks plummet downwards with a decrease of 15% and 13% respectively since June.

Since June, the top gainer in the Social Networking category has been Bharatstudent with a 15% increase in unique users; while Orkut sees a 15% drop. LinkedIn, the professional social networking site, makes it to the Top 5 for July.

While Google undoubtedly continues to dominate the Indian online search space, Yahoo! Search increases by 7% since June. Bing seems to have lost some of its early sheen since its launch in early June, as activity decreases by 12% since then. While Mywebsearch.com moves into the Top 5 Search sites in July, Ask.com decreases by almost 18% to move to the last spot.
