Who We Are

Komli is made up of a diverse team of folks who have lived around the world including the US, China, Switzerland, and India. We love to help our customers, build cool stuff, and have a good laugh! Since we didn't want to bore you with everyone's backgrounds here's a bit of info on some of our leadership team.

Leadership Team

Amar Goel, Founder and CEO

Amar founded Komli in October 2006. He previously led a sales and service team at Microsoft/MSN for the financial services and retail verticals. Amar previously founded and ran Chipshot.com, a leading online golf-etailer. He has also worked at McKinsey & Co, and Netscape Communications. Amar is a graduate of Harvard University, with a Masters in computer science, and a Bachelors in economics. He loves to play golf and once fell in a creek while playing.

Prashant Mehta, COO

Prashant is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Komli Media’s overall business operations including sales, product development, engineering, marketing and business development. He joins Komli Media after eight years at Yahoo! Inc., where he was most recently Vice President and Head of Monetization for Yahoo!’s Emerging Markets Group which included India, South East Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Eastern Europe. Prior to Yahoo!, Prashant held various roles at Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan Chase (formerly, Chemical Bank) and NatWest. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a BS from Rutgers University.

Akshay Garg, Co-Founder and Business Head, Ad Network

Akshay leads Komli Media’s ad network where he is responsible for operations, sales, overall strategy and business management of the unit. He previously ran a cross-border consulting company and an Indian restaurant in Kunming, China, and built India’s leading offline Chinese school in New Delhi. Before getting bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, he worked as an analyst at the United Nations in Geneva and at Deloitte Consulting in Seattle. A Sinophile, Akshay speaks fluent Chinese and gets an itch if he doesn’t make it there at least once every six months. Akshay did post-graduate work in economics at the University of Geneva in Switzerland, and attended Whitman College in USA for his Bachelor’s degree. He likes mountain biking and playing tennis.

Amit Bhartiya, Business Head, Lead Generation

Amit spearheads Komli Media’s efforts in the lead generation space, including LoanRaja, an online destination for consumers to research and find the best deals in financial products. Before joining Komli, he was Director (and co-founder) of eBay India Motors – heading India’s largest online used vehicle marketplace. He led the Business Development & Corporate Sales function at Baazee.com (prior to its acquisition by eBay in 2004). A Chartered Accountant, he has over eight years of experience, specifically within the online and e-commerce space.

Vaishali Cooper, CFO

As Chief Financial Officer, Vaishali is responsible for overall finance, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions at Komli.  In her last role, Cooper held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Strategy Head at eBay India, India’s largest e-commerce site. She has rich cross-functional experience in the Indian consumer internet space with over seven years of experience in heading finance and strategic functions for eBay India and Bazee. Vaishali is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Satish Kadu, VP, Products

Satish leads Komli Media’s product team, driving increased investment in products oriented to help marketers target consumers with unparalleled precision and improve publisher monetization. He brings with him a decade of experience, having worked with companies such as MIH India, Yahoo Inc, Microsoft Corporation and Wipro Technologies. In his previous role as a member of the founding team at MIH India, Satish conceptualized some of its most innovative products like dwaar.com, India’s first vertical search engine. Satish holds a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Mumbai University and a MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
